let’s talk christmas trees!!!
20 days till Christmas!!! Every year I am always so last minute when it comes to decorating for Christmas and it's always half-assed. Last year we decided to get a Christmas Lego set instead of a tree because we were going to travel so much over the Holidays we wouldn't be able to enjoy it! But this year, we finally invested in a tree - a 9 foot King Flock with 1100 warm LED lights from King of Christmas. I had no idea what to expect, it was literally our first ever adult tree!
It arrived in 2 large boxes that I was able to maneuver alone. Set up was SO easy. My tree was split into 4 sections and all I had to do was put them on top of each other. The tree featured a "power pole" meaning the lights automatically connected, there were no hidden outlets or wires throughout the tree that you had to find and manually connect. Genius! Let’s get in shape!! The tree came with shaping gloves which was so cool and definitely useful. They went up to my elbow and protected my forearms from being scratched by the tree while shaping. They made me feel legit too, lol. To shape the tree, I splayed out the smaller branches from the bigger ones and pointed them upwards. This gave it a super realistic look. This was probably the most time consuming part of the set up but it still didn't take me that long at all! I did need a ladder to reach the top.
Once it was all shaped & set up, I turned on the lights. This tree is SO PRETTY. It has so many different lighting settings, a remote & a pedal switch to turn on and off! It's seriously so pretty, I almost didn't even want to put any ornaments on it. I am honestly considering being one of those people who keeps their tree up year round & change the ornaments for every holiday. Like, an Easter tree? A Halloween tree? BET. But for the meantime, we decided to go with a DINO & DISCO theme, which is totally awesome.
The tree also came with a storage bag which will definitely be useful. It seems super durable and I'm confident it will last us years to come. All & all, I am SO happy with our tree. My parents actually came to visit and ended up ordering the smaller, 7 foot Prince Flock with LED lights, right after they left. So yay, I'm officially a King of Christmas groupie!
