Now this Drexel Profile Credenza/Sideboard was in ROUGH shape. What’s up friends! It’s been a minute since I hopped on here to fully break down a furniture flip for you, so let’s get into it! I picked up this Mainline Hooker Walnut Veneer dresser with one matching nightstand a few weeks ago from an estate sale… the same estate sale I found the Mainline Hooker floating desk at… you know, the one with the prison letters in it.

A budget-friendly DIY slat accent wall can be created using materials that are affordable and easily available. Here are some steps to consider:

Use wood scraps or plywood to create the slats.

Cut the slats to size using a circular saw & rip cut

Sand the edges and surfaces of the slats to remove any rough spots.

Leave the wood in its natural state, or apply a clear coat or light stain to enhance its natural beauty.

Hang the slats one by one, using a level to ensure they are straight.

Secure each slat to the wall using brad nailer.

Repeat the process until all the slats are attached to the wall.

This project is easy to complete and does not require advanced carpentry skills. The materials required for a budget-friendly DIY slat accent wall include wood, a saw, insulation foam sandpaper, a level, brad nails.

20 days till Christmas!!! Every year I am always so last minute when it comes to decorating for Christmas and it's always half-assed. Last year we decided to get a Christmas Lego set instead of a tree because we were going to travel so much over the Holidays we wouldn't be able to enjoy it! But this year, we finally invested in a tree - a 9 foot King Flock with 1100 warm LED lights from King of Christmas. I had no idea what to expect, it was literally our first ever adult tree!

Every year before I begin decking the halls, I get out all my decor and purge anything that is no longer serving me. I began searching “wall panels” on Lowes, and found Ekena Millwork! They’re a relatively small company based out of Texas. They do everything from ceiling medallions (which I didn’t even know were a thing), molding, trim, etc. They also make this super fancy fretwork, in a whole bunch of cool designs that you can order in different colors and sizes. The one that caught my eye was the Manchester design - it’s a bunch of tiny squares that give a grid like appearance.
